Create your first product
The next step is to create your first product. This product will be created on an AppDirect-powered marketplace and represent the application you wish to make available for purchase on your website using the hosted checkout solution.
From "Billing > Products", click on the "Add Product" button.
Complete the required information on the 'Create New Product' page.
From the "Product Dashboard" page, complete the product creation by following the steps located in the middle of the screen, or by jumping directly to the desired section from the left navigation menu.
As a developer, you may publish your new product once the product configuration is complete. From the "Product Dashboard" screen, you may click on any of the publish buttons. (There is one on the left in the navigation menu and one on the right side of the screen near the top.)
As a channel admin, you may approve the product launch request. You will be redirected to the screen shown below. The yellow message tells you that you received, as the marketplace administrator (or the "channel admin"), a request from a "developer" to approve a recently published product/application.
📝 Note: In your BAAS marketplace, you are acting as both a "developer" AND a "channel admin". Because you have both roles, you will see on the "Product Catalog" screen the green message targeting "developers" who publish new products for approval and the yellow message targeting "channel admins" who approve new product submissions.
Click on the application's name (it is a link) within the yellow message to approve the application launch.
Clicking the product approval link will redirect you to the page shown below, where you can simply click on the "Approve Publish" button to complete your product approval.
Next you will see the following dialog, where you can click on the "Add to Marketplace" button.
Finally, you will see the dialog to complete the whole product creation flow. Review the options, and once you're done, click on the "Save" button. The product is now active and ready to be purchased.
